$65 Vetting of Large Dogs and Cats at Risk of Euthanasia

Through the Rescue Ready program, CACC’s Homeward Bound rescue partners can now schedule vetting for large dogs (40 lbs+) and cats they pull from CACC at a highly discounted price through the PAWS Chicago Medical Center. Providing spay/neuter surgeries and vetting for rescue groups that do not have in-house veterinary capabilities is intended to encourage increased transfers from CACC and lead to more adoptions.

Services

Medical exam, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, heartworm test for dogs, FeLV/FIV test for cats, and vaccines (including rabies for both dogs/cats and DA2PPL for dogs, FVRCP for cats).

Cost

$65 per animal

Eligible Pets

Homeward Bound rescue partners in good standing that do not have in-house veterinarian services, and who sign up with PAWS.
